Happy Thanksgiving Hilltoppers!
I hope everyone is prepared for their friend and family gatherings this week as Thanksgiving Eve is upon us! I battled the aisles of Walmart last night and I do not envy those who have to venture into the stores today!
First, I would like to start my message with what I am thankful for. Mostly, I am thankful for the health and well being of both my family and our community. We have weathered some very stark times over the last 21 months through mitigations, restrictions and lost time with family. I hope that you can take time to set aside these struggles in our daily lives to reflect and focus on what is important: our loved ones.
Thank you to our students, parents, staff, board members and community for your support throughout this year. I completely understand and respect the fact that we may not always agree, but I do believe that we all have the best interests of all stakeholders at heart. I am very optimistic that better times are in our near future!
In closing, I hope your turkey doesn’t burn, your stuffing isn’t too dry, your pies are covered in whipped cream and your favorite football team wins! Take time to enjoy the little things that mean the most:) Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy some well deserved time with your family and friends!
