Dear 8th Grade Parents:
Due to the unprecedented events in the world and the stay at home order, the 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony has been cancelled for this year. This class had done an outstanding job here at Mt. Pulaski Grade School and have been through a lot of triumph and heartache. We do want to honor them with a video tribute that will be distributed over Facebook and posted on our school website. Mrs. Fricke recently sent out an email requesting a photo and answers to a couple of questions to include in the tribute.
We will be presenting the awards that are usually given out at the ceremony. Those include the Daughters of the American Revolution Award, Seth Remmert Award, and the Student of the Year in Science, Math, Social Studies, Language Arts, Reading, Art, Band, and Chorus. Diplomas will be mailed out at the end of June when we receive them from Jostens. All of the award winners and graduates will be recognized in the local media.
If you have not opened the graduation gown package from Jostens, you may return it for a full refund. Jostens does not refund gowns whose package has been opened unfortunately.
I truly enjoyed working with this wonderful group of students over the years. I will miss them greatly. Good luck in high school!
Sincerely,
Gene Newton, Principal
Mt. Pulaski Grade School
