Good Day Hilltoppers!
I hope this communication finds you well as we approach this graduation weekend! The school district is preparing for the second board meeting under the Governor’s executive order which restricts public gatherings. Like last month, we will offer board members the option of attending the meeting in person (social distanced) or through tele/video conferencing. The meeting will be limited to 10 participants including board members, administrators and necessary guests.
Because of these limitations, the public will not be allowed to be present to personally view the meeting or offer in person communications. The meeting will be digitally recorded and broadcast in its entirety on Facebook and website on Tuesday, May 19th.
This month’s meeting has two parts, first a bond hearing will be conducted and then the regular meeting. The public may still offer the board communication by emailing the school district office prior to 3:00 PM, Monday May 18th to, sfarris@mtpulaski.k12.il.us. All communications received will be read either during the bond hearing or during recognition of the public as appropriate.
We hope that future meetings will be able to be held in public, but until that time the Mt. Pulaski School District will work diligently to be transparent, offer the community a voice and serve the community in the best means allowable. Please contact Superintendent Lamkey if you have any questions.
Go Toppers!
Fred Lamkey, Mt. Pulaski Superintendent of Schools
