This school year, Illinois FCCLA is completing a year long community service partnership with Ronald McDonald House Illinois. Part of that partnership is the collection of soda/pop tabs to donate to Ronald McDonald House for them to use in the establishment of a new House in Peoria.
During the month of February, Mount Pulaski FCCLA will be sponsoring a soda/pop tab drive as a competition between 8th period classes. Ronald McDonald House cannot accept money from other non-profit groups such as FCCLA...so, we do not want your money, but we would like you to collect soda/pop tabs that they can collect and recycle for money. Here’s how it works. Collect soda/pop tabs and bring them to your 8th period. FCCLA will collect the tabs and weigh them (since each tabs weighs exactly the same). The total weight will then be divided by the number of students in the 8th period. Whichever class gets the highest average weight will WIN!
What do you get if you win?
The winning class will win treats (delicious desserts) EVERY SINGLE FRIDAY in March, April, and May!
Treats include: Cookies, brownies, rice krispie treats, oreo balls, scotcheroos, pumpkin bars, indoor s’mores, peanut butter buckeyes, jello, cake, etc.
