Abigail Jones, daughter of Jamie and Andy Jones, has been named February-Senior-of-the-Month at Mount Pulaski High School.

Abigail has been a member of the Basketball and Volleyball teams for 4 years. She has also participated in FCCLA and FFA for 4 years. She was the 2023-24 FFA Ag Ambassador and 2024-25 FFA Vice President. For 2 years she participated in NHS and Student Council, currently serving as Student Council Vice President.

Abigail has consistently made the honor roll during her time at MPHS. She was also named October Student Athlete of the Month. She also earned the Dairy Foods Evaluation Award and placed 1st in Ag Sales in section 14 FFA Record Book Contest.

Outside of school Abigail stays involved in the community. She has worked at Johnson’s True Value for 2 years. She also volunteers at the LMH market, Mt. Pulaski Court House, and the Mt. Pulaski Fall Festival. She has also participated in the Holiday meal, Trunk or Treat, trick or treating for canned goods, the canned food drive and FCCLA barn cleaning at the state fairgrounds.

Abigail plans to attend Lincoln Land Community College to earn her Associate’s degree. She plans to transfer to Illinois State University to major in Ag Education.

The Senior-of-the-Month program is sponsored by Conaway Handyman Service and Downing, Przykopanski, Clements, & May Insurance Agency, Inc. They are also in the running for the $500 Senior-of-the-Year award sponsored by INB.
