Final Exams on post it notes

Dear Toppers and Families,

In light of how many students and teachers have been out due to illness in the past few weeks, the faculty and administration decided today to decrease the weight of semester exams for this semester.  Instead of counting for 20% of students' semester grades, exams will count for only 10% this semester.

This is meant to alleviate some of the stress that our students are feeling while still giving us an opportunity to see what they have learned and them an opportunity to both show what they have learned and potentially increase their overall grades.

That said, if there are students who would benefit from their exam being worth that traditional 20%, we will make exceptions and manually enter their grades so that they still have that opportunity.

Again, the intent is to take some weight off our students, particularly those who have been ill or have teachers who have been out.

Sincerely,
Mr. Fred Lamkey
