Jackson Fricke, son of Nathan and Heather Fricke of Mt Pulaski, has been named November-Senior-of-the-month at Mount Pulaski High School. He was selected for this honor based on the criteria of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

            Jackson has participated in numerous sports and activities during his time at MPHS. He is a 3 sport athlete all 4 years, playing on the Baseball, Basketball, and Golf teams. He has been a member of FFA-serving as the Sentinel this year, Student Council, and a Class Officer for 4 years as well. He has been a member of NHS for 2 years and Purple Reign for 1 year. Outside of school, Jackson has played on the Rifles travel baseball team for 4 years and has participated in the Mt. Pulaski Christian Church Youth Group for 4 years.

            Jackson has been on Honor Roll consistently. He made the 1st team All-Conference in Baseball in 2022, 1st team Decatur Herald and Review Baseball 2022, 2020 Algebra Student of the Year, 2021 Geometry Student of the Year, FFA awards in Ag Sales, Meat Judging, SAE, and Quiz Bowl. He is also published in the American Library of Poetry.

            Jackson has helped with Christmas on Vinegar Hill set up and take down, the canned food drives for FFA and Trick or Treating for canned goods, Courthouse Landscaping, Parking Lot painting, and the Recycling Program at MPHS.

            Jackson plans to attend Illinois College to major in Ag Business while continuing his baseball career at the collegiate level.

The Senior-of-the-Month program is sponsored by Conaway Handyman Service and Downing, Przykopanski, Clements, & May Insurance Agency, Inc.. They are also in the running for the $500 Senior-of-the-Year award sponsored by INB.
