Hilltoppers Shotgun Sports National Results
The Hilltoppers Shotgun Sports team finished their season earlier this month at the USA Clay Target League national trap tournament in Mason, Michigan.
There were over 55,000 participants nationwide in the league this year and 1800 athletes and 234 teams made it to nationals.
Seven athletes from the Hilltoppers squad made the trip. Five of those competed on team qualifying day, where they finished 8th out of 234 teams with a score of 481/500.
Scores for team qualifying day were:
Hawken Clampet - 99/100
Hayden Hartman - 98/100
Colton Romines - 97/100
Beau Tschantz - 96/100
Clay Leonard 91/100
The top 80 teams advanced to finals day. The team shot a 480/500 on finals day to finish 14th in the nation.
Scores for the team finals were:
Hayden Hartman -99/100
Colton Romines - 97/100
Hawken Clampet - 96/100
Beau Tschantz - 95/100
Clay Leonard - 93/100
All seven athletes competed in the individual competition where the top 400 out of 1800 advanced to the finals.
Scores for individual qualifying day were:

Hawken Clampet - 99/100
Hayden Hartman - 97/100
Clay Leonard - 96/100
Izaak Winebrinner - 88/100
Beau Tschantz - 88/100

Colton, Hawken, Hayden and Clay qualified for the individual finals. Their scores on finals day and finishing positions were:
Colton Romines 100/100 (16th overall after a shoot off)
Hawken Clampet - 98/100 (52nd overall)
Clay Leonard - 97/100 (138th overall)
Hayden Hartman 95/100 (260th overall)

6/8: Baseball Camp Location Change TODAY for 5th-8th Seasion
Due to the inclement weather, the 5-8th grade Topper Baseball camp session from 11:00-12:30 will be moved to the multipurpose gym at the high school today. The 1st-4th grade session will still be held at Veterans Park from 9:00-10:30.
