The 8th graders just finished a unit on the Holocaust. They were able to pick a novel of their choice and represent what they understood by creating a passion project of their choice. The pictures represent what was physically brought in, but the students also created poems, song lyrics that were played on guitar, a Minecraft recreation of Auschwitz, a cake made to depict the inside of a death camp and more. The students really got their "creative juices" flowing.

Support for students and families.
The 7th grade students enjoyed their visit from Deng today. The students learned about Deng’s family and their daily routine to get water. We also learned about his culture in South Sudan. The 7th graders listened and had great questions. They will remember this visit for a long time. Thank you Deng for coming and visiting with us.
Another great opportunity for parents!
