As a reminder, free and reduced lunch applications are in the office if you 'd like to see if you qualify.

Breakfast rate: $1.50 (full price), $0.30 (reduced)
Lunch rate: $3.00 (full price), $0.40 (reduced)

A lot is happening that day at MPHS! We will celebrate back to school with our swimming party. Bring your appropriate swimsuit (no thongs or high riding bikini bottoms). Picnic lunch is planned. Also, get those Student Council speeches started because you will vote for your representatives that day!

If you answered YES to both of these questions, your yearbook is available for pickup in the MPHS office at the following times:

Wednesday, July 30 - 8:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Thursday, July 31 - 8:30 a.m. until noon

Friday, August 1 - 8:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

MPHS Cheer attended Ultimate Xperience Cheer camp In Warrensburg this week and are so proud to be bringing home the Most Improved Team Banner. MP went up against 8 other local high schools and held their own against some long term competition squads. Mariah Stone and junior high cheer leader Swayzie Titus were also awarded the honor of being selected as 10 Ultimate Athletes from all of the cheerleaders at camp. Let’s go Toppers!

START OF THE YEAR SCHEDULE: Friday, August 8: Grade 10, 11 and 12 students may pick up their Chromebook and sign up for their parking spot in the main office from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. These students may also place things in their locker for the first day of school. (This is not for 9th grade students.) Monday, August 11: Grade 10, 11 and 12 students (who didn’t come on August 8) may pick up their Chromebook and sign up for their parking spot in the main office from 10:00 a.m. until noon OR from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Freshman Bootcamp from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m for 9th grade students only. Students may bring items to place in their lockers & will receive their Chromebooks at this event. Please arrive around 5:20 p.m. (main gym) so we can get started on time. Parents should plan to be in attendance from 5:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. for the orientation meeting in the main gym. Parents will return to pick up students between 7:45 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 13: First day of school! Doors unlock at 7:50 a.m. The tardy bell rings at 8:10 a.m. We will be having our Back to School Bash! We will have lunch at the park and enjoy swimming time at the Park District Pool. There will be outdoor games too. Bring your swimsuit and towel to school. The lunch menu for that day is TBD. You are welcome to bring a sack lunch also. School dismisses at 2:05 p.m. We will be having Student Council elections and voting on the school-wide social contract, so every student will need to bring their assigned Chromebook (charged) to school! If you want to run for Student Council, start working on your brief speech now because speeches will be given in the morning to your class. Thursday, August 14: Doors open at 7:50 a.m. and the tardy bell rings at 8:10 a.m. Students will run shortened schedules. School dismisses at 2:05 p.m. Friday, August 15: Doors open at 7:50 a.m. and the tardy bell rings at 8:10 a.m. Students will run shortened schedules. This is the last day to make a schedule change (drop/add a class). Schedule changes must be completed by 2:05 p.m. with Miss Hinson. School dismisses at 2:05 p.m. Monday, August 18: Doors open at 7:50 a.m. and the tardy bell rings at 8:10 a.m. Students will run their regular schedules. School dismisses at 3:15 p.m. This is the first full/regular day of school.
