We are in full of anticipation for the upcoming end-of-year festivities. The Post Prom Planning Committee is reaching out to interested community members, businesses and parents, with an appeal to ensure that this year's Post Prom event for Mt. Pulaski High School juniors and seniors surpasses all expectations. Why is funding Post Prom important? 🎉 Create Lasting Memories: Your generous contribution will directly impact the creation of a night filled with joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories for our students. 🏆 Boost Participation: A well-funded event allows us to offer exciting prizes and entertainment, encouraging greater student participation and making the night even more special. 💲 Monetary Donations: Your financial support, no matter the amount, is crucial. Please make checks payable to Mt. Pulaski Post Prom. We would also appreciate gift cards (ie. Starbucks, Casey’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, Taco Bell, etc.). 🎁 In-Kind Donations: If you can contribute prizes, items like dorm-sized refrigerators, tvs, or Apple Air tags have been popular among the teens in recent years. 🔥 Deadline Approaching: Time is of the essence, and we need your support by March 7, 2024, to ensure all arrangements are in place for an exceptional Post Prom event. Please drop off or mail your donation at/to the MPHS Main Office (206 S. Spring St., Mt. Pulaski, IL 62548). Your support is not just a donation; it's an investment in the happiness and well-being of our students. We sincerely thank you for considering this urgent request. Together, we can make a significant difference in keeping our kids safe on one of the most memorable nights in their high school careers. Let's make this Post Prom event one for the books! Your involvement is key to its success, and we appreciate your support in keeping our kids safe. Warm regards, The Post Prom Committee

Smart tips for parents
Parent opinions matter! We have implemented changes at MPHS over the past two years based on the input we get from parents on this survey. The parent response rate is currently 9% for our parents. Thank you to those of you who have responded to the survey. We need 20% of our parents to respond in order to receive a report. Our school goal is a 25% parent response rate. I am inviting any parent that has not yet participated to help us reach our goal by taking the survey! We use the data from the parent report to help improve the school. Without ample parent participation, we do not receive data back to act on. Your opinions matter and we want to use your opinions to improve our school! Every parent/guardian is invited to take the survey! The survey window will close on March 31, 2023, so please plan survey administration accordingly. Survey link: http://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/survey/parent/ If you have specific questions about the survey, please call 5Essentials Client Services at 1-866-440-1874. Thank you for helping us make our school a better place. Sincerely, Heather Fricke, MPHS Principal

Scholastic Bowl Update: On Thursday, January 18th, MPHS Scholastic Bowl travelled to Delavan where our JV team (photo) had an excellent showing. Captain Charity Woodford, Adison Sanchez, Juan Andrade, and Liam Doherty beat Illini Bluffs 80-40 and Delavan 140-50. The Varsity team beat Delavan 100-90. We travel to Hartem tomorrow to take them on as well as Illini Bluffs and Midwest Central. Fun Facts about scholastic bowl---Both Varsity and JV get the same exact questions. They play at the same time, but in different rooms against different teams (in the end we play the same teams, but in different order) AND our JV team was down a player compared to the other schools---and they almost beat Athens (who is the best team in our conference--they lost by one question) The JV team was fire last week.
