Our two staff members that we would like to highlight today are Mrs. Beccue who teaches junior high special education and Ms. Tarrant who teaches junior high math. Mrs. Beccue did glee club at Sacred Heart-Griffin, performed with a singing group in high school called “Ensemble,” and had piano lessons for seven years. She enjoys listening to all types of music and her favorite radio station is 98.7. If Mrs. Beccue could learn anything in music, it would be to play the violin. Ms. Tarrant enjoys listening to all types of music and prefers radio stations that have older songs on them. If she could learn anything in music class, it would be to play piano. Whether it's singing, playing an instrument or listening to music, make music a part of your life today.

7th graders in ELA honed into their problem solving skills today in a "Choose Your Own Path" island expedition! Students worked in groups to justify all their decisions and make the right choices in order to "survive!" They had a blast today, and we will continue our lesson tomorrow in learning about the teenage castaways who survived 15 months on Ata Island in the South Pacific. We are preparing for expository writing in ELA with a focus on problem/solution.
