Mt. Pulaski CUSD 23 is seeking a full-time Night Custodian for Mt. Pulaski High School. This position is a 12-month, salaried position that offers health, dental and vision insurance, as well as retirement benefits. Salary is commensurate with experience. 5th Grade Band is ready to go, instruments in hand!

The Book Fair is coming! This year the book fair will be held September 20-23rd. Students will be able to visit the book fair during the week as well as during parent teacher conferences on Wednesday, September 22nd and Thursday, September 23rd from 4-8pm.

Attention Grade School Parents Only! Reminder tomorrow is Picture Day! Please make sure to pay online or send the picture form and money with your students. Also, girl's softball and boy's baseball will have their team pictures taken tomorrow as well.

Exciting sporting events happening tonight: The jr high boys baseball team will celebrate their 8th graders tonight as they take on Meridian at Frasier Park. First pitch is at 4:15pm! The jr high girls softball team will play in the regional championship tonight in Delevan. The first pitch is at 4:30pm!

This week our PreK classes started using daily “check-in” folders to show their teachers how they’re feeling each day, and to practice name recognition and prewriting skills!

The 5th Grade Band Meeting is tonight at 6pm in the Grade School Library. Please attend if you have a beginning band student. If you cannot attend be sure to let me know. The hope is to have instruments in our hands next week! Enter through the doors near the kindergarten rooms. See you then!

School picture day is Wednesday, September 15th. Order forms were sent home with the students last week. You can also order online at https://inter-state.com/ using code 59160XA.

As a reminder, students will be dismissed at both buildings as follows on Friday, September 3: Grade School - 11:24 a.m. High School - 11:30 a.m. Additionally, there is no school on Monday, September 6.

We learned about why birds have beaks this week in 1A. We did an experiment to see how birds use their beaks. It was a lot of fun! Second week of first grade has been awesome!

There is an informational meeting this Wednesday, 9/1, for any student in grades 6 through 12 (and their parents) interested in participating on the MP Shotgun Sports Team (trap/skeet shooting). The meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. in the High School cafeteria. You may enter through the front lobby doors between 5:45 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. If you arrive after 6:15 p.m., you will need to proceed around to the side cafeteria doors. If you have questions, or cannot attend, please contact Coach Ryan Mott at mpclaytarget@gmail.com This is a great opportunity to get involved with some awesome coaches on a team that has a tradition of placing in the state tournament.

Parents and Guardians: Please refrain from stopping at the playground and talking to the students through the fence. Not all the staff outside supervising the students know all the parents. We want to make sure we are keeping our children safe. If you need to talk to them please come into the office and we would be more than happy to bring them for you to speak with. Thank you!
