5th Grade Band is ready to go, instruments in hand!
The Book Fair is coming! This year the book fair will be held September 20-23rd. Students will be able to visit the book fair during the week as well as during parent teacher conferences on Wednesday, September 22nd and Thursday, September 23rd from 4-8pm.

Exciting sporting events happening tonight:
The jr high boys baseball team will celebrate their 8th graders tonight as they take on Meridian at Frasier Park. First pitch is at 4:15pm!
The jr high girls softball team will play in the regional championship tonight in Delevan. The first pitch is at 4:30pm!
This week our PreK classes started using daily “check-in” folders to show their teachers how they’re feeling each day, and to practice name recognition and prewriting skills!
The 5th Grade Band Meeting is tonight at 6pm in the Grade School Library. Please attend if you have a beginning band student. If you cannot attend be sure to let me know. The hope is to have instruments in our hands next week! Enter through the doors near the kindergarten rooms. See you then!

We learned about why birds have beaks this week in 1A. We did an experiment to see how birds use their beaks. It was a lot of fun! Second week of first grade has been awesome!

There is an informational meeting this Wednesday, 9/1, for any student in grades 6 through 12 (and their parents) interested in participating on the MP Shotgun Sports Team (trap/skeet shooting). The meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. in the High School cafeteria. You may enter through the front lobby doors between 5:45 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. If you arrive after 6:15 p.m., you will need to proceed around to the side cafeteria doors.

Honeybear Basketball starts this week! Parents of any 5th - 8th grade Honeybear will need to attend our mandatory Parent Meeting on Tuesday, August 31st at 5:30 in the MPGS Gym. Our first two practice sessions will be held in the multipurpose room at MPHS from 6:00 - 7:15 on Wednesday (9/1) and Thursday (9/2). All participants will need a mask, have a water bottle, and wear their PE shoes. All current softball athletes that also want to play basketball are excused until their season has concluded.
