3A celebrated Read Across America with Dr. Seuss’s Birthday! We had a couple guest readers and challenged ourselves with a STEM project after listening to Horton Hatches an Egg.

PreK students worked on dental health activities this week. We did an experiment testing the effect of sugary drinks on the shells of eggs, counted groups of 20 (marshmallows) to create mouth models, practiced proper brushing, and “flossed” using duplo blocks, play dough, and string!
Today we assembled our leap year time capsules. The students will get their time capsule back next leap year, when they are in 8th grade!

Students grades 5-8 at the Solo and Ensemble Music Contest. For many, it was their first solo or small group performance. Great job!
Students in 5A took on the index card challenge today! They had 30 minutes to build the tallest tower using only 100 index cards, tape, and scissors.
2nd grade learned about the Earth's orbit around the sun today. We made models of the Earth, Moon, and Sun to show how the three move in connection with each other.
The CATCH award recipient chose to be the PE teacher for the day. Dodgeball is always a favorite!

We had a visit from the crazy catch lady today! Angie Whiteman had us try some kale, spinach, raspberries,
and cantaloupe. In January we made Go Man!
