Spanish 2,3 and 4 students spent the day in Chicago exploring various kinds of Hispanic artwork. The day began admiring murals in the neighborhoods at Little Village and Pilsen. Lunch was trying new beverages and different kinds of tacos and authentic food in Pilsen. Students then moved into the city where they completed the Frida Kahlo immersion experience. Finally, students made their way to the art institute of Chicago where they explored art from that only the Spanish-speaking world but also from all over the globe. Before heading home, students explored Millennium Park and the famous architecture bean.
The weather held out for us, and all students would agree that they walked away having had a good experience. Thank you to everyone who helped make this field trip possible.
