Nutrition class made pan broiled hamburgers and air fryer french fries. Everyone agreed that the milkshakes we made last week would be a good addition. Perhaps families should ask their students to give it a try at home.

Spanish 1 students are knee deep in a unit on Colombia. The timing of the recent movie release Encanto was PERFECTO! All levels enjoyed the movie and creating their own magical gift rooms. First year students are also reading their second novel titled Peter Va a Colombia. And they enjoyed creating their own interpretations of the first chapter and sharing them with classmates.

Recently, Andres, a previous Costa Rica exchange student, visited classes. He has since been a good virtual resource as well: giving us lessons and showing us his typical breakfast foods. It’s been a great relationship!

Mount Pulaski hosted the Section 6 FCCLA Conference & Competition at the Family Life Center today. Many members from six area schools came to enjoy workshops, competitions, and a keynote presentation from Emily Reuschel. Mount Pulaski FCCLA was well represented with three current Section Officers helping to lead the meeting, the students being elected to serve as Section Officers next year, and a State Officer candidate and four competitors advancing to State Conference in April! it was a great day!
